Based on this two articles in New Strait Times (http://www.nstp.com.my/Current_News/NST/Tuesday/Features/20081222195116/Article/indexF_html) and (http://new.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Sunday/Frontpage/2433386/Article/index_html) we know that the Mawi and Ekin wedding is so grand,exciting and joyful.All Malaysian can follow the `couple of soul’ wedding from Astro that broadcast the ceremony.The ceremony start at Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque for the solemnization.After that the ceremony continue for the grand reception at Johor Baru Municipal Council Indoor Stadium that was decorated with full of red roses.The newlyweds and the guest also was entertained by the performances by Mawi’s friend from Akedemi Fantasia.
Even Mawi is the famous local artist,he doesn’t forget where he come from.From the article (http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Monday/National/2438807/Article/index_html) we know that Mawi and Ekin were flying by the helicopter to Felda Taib Andak (Mawi’s birth place) for their wedding ceremony in Javanese-style.They wore the Javanese bride costume that were designed by Zulfazli Suhadi of Zul Classique designs.The ceremony was held with full of Javanese tradition.The ceremony also very exciting and joyful with the performances from Sendeng Hang Tuah silat group and kuda kepang and barongan dance performance.
This wedding was eclipse all the artists’ divorces.It make the year of 2008 `closed with happy ending’ after face with many divorce cases of our local artists.And I hope this couple of soul were together until their last breath.
