This article is about "Why Women Trump Men" written by The Daily Mail. This article is very interesting because it storied about gender and actually about the advantages of women and why they should be a role model for men. The answers from the survey showed that women are happier than men and have a better quality of life as they get older. Furthermore it showed that women are more optimistic than men. There are a doctor named Dr.Elizabeth Breeze who co-wrote the report, said that women often became happier as they grew older because they no longer had to worry about looking after their families. This is because the custom in western life is totally different in Malaysia especially Malay custom. At there the parents will manage their own life when their children have their own life or getting married. They do not need to take care of their parents anymore and let them live in a house alone. This is different with our lifestyle or islamic lifestyle because in our religion the children have to take care and respect their parents as long as they are still alive. In Islam they are guideline base on al-Quran and as-Sunnah which teach us to be polite and respect our parents eventhough they still afford to manage theirselve or not because as the in hadith "The heaven is under mum feet". As a child we have to pray for them everyday especially while we are praying it is also means that we have to remember them always either in our heart or in our mind. It be our responsibility to take care of them and make them happy as long as they are still alive. The other reason why women trump men is unlike many men who need to derive their sense of self-worth from focusing solely on their career and making money, women are multi-taskers.Means that women can make a lot of thing or at least two things in the same time. For example they can make their hobbies as their job such as sewing, baked cakes or cooking, make handy-craft and many. They can manage their family, children and career efficiently because they have the high of patience, responsibility, good sense, loving, caring, good listener than men. Many men think that retirement will turns into gloomy vacuum of emptiness means through their lives their work has been so all-consuming they have forgotten how to enjoy themselves. But for women it is not a big deal if they are in this condition. They know how to use the the time and appreciate what they have. For example if they get retire, they still have their children to look after and spend their time with them at home. Women trump men also because they give birth, living through the magic pregnancy and the miracle of bringing a new life in to the world. Nobody can do like that except women. It needs a lot of sacrifies and patience to give birth which it determine either live or die. No matter what a mother will sacrify for the sake of their children. Commonly a men might know more people, in term of nodding acquintances and work colleagues, but women have close friends who are there in times of trouble and time of joy. Finally Dr.Elizabeth said that women are better than men at teaching themselve to be happy. The founder of the Positive Psychology Centre at the Iniversity of Pennsylvania, Martin P.Seligmen conclude that women can learn to be happy not through material or external rewards, but by building a strong inner sense of self. The conclusion is I am totally agree withn this article and this writer not because I am a women but it is base on the fact from the research and survey. So, we have to accept this truth and it is true that women trump men in genderly.
The last article entitle " 60 is the new 40" written by Zaharah Othman. This article attract me to read it and choose ot because it is very interesting article which is story about the experience of a famous female actress Helen Mirren. The title for this article focus on her age because she look like 40 yers old even she already 60. So, the writer was exposed her secret of beauty that make her looks young. From her experience, she said that colour is the most important thing if we want to look young especially for women who are very take care of their personality. Helen said that black colour or brown colour is not suitable with her age as her daughter have said to her.Relating to the colour it is true that colour is very important in one life because it will influence one's life which shows our mood, personalitie, characters and others. As she said exercise is very important too because it can remain her beauty and look young. Beside that, a healthy diet should be next on the list. For her no more fatty fried chicken nuggets means that she no longer take the fatty meals in her diet and replaced by more salads and greens.She is also believe that drink just warm water with meals also a good habit base on observation from her friends and what they have done. As she said that it is not difficult to make an effort but it is certainly really easy to let go. I am agree with this statement and opinion and what this actress talk about is true because if we want to adapt in a community or want to be a part of a community we have to change our personality and our attitude. So, we have to change our style or our habit but only if they are a good community or group not a bad one. We have to know their perspective about us if we want to adapt with them. To conclude, age is not a restriction for us to be in a community but it is our personality and our attitude is the most important and influence us to adapt in it.
